Ep. 97 - Nightcrawler with Cheapseat Reviews

In today’s Bubble, it’s Podcast Crossover Day as I welcome the first time tolerated, Shawn from Cheapseat Reviews!  And after a quick little rant about the movie, Radio Flyer, we discuss the 2014 film, Nightcrawler, starring Jake Gyllenhaal, Rene Russo, and Riz Ahmed.

In today’s Mini Bubble, I watch a handful of the trailers, for the very first time, that were released this last weekend and react to what I’m personally excited for, from Shazam! Fury of the Gods to the upcoming phases from Marvel.  And yes, even The Walking Dead made the watch list.

Ep. 91 - Original vs Remakes: The Things with Dozer

Just in time for its 40th Anniversary, and a release in theaters, I welcome back Dozer to the Bubble so we can finally cover The Things! 1951s The Thing From Another World, John Carpenter’s 1982 classic, The Thing, and The Thing 2011.

 

After rewatching these movies Dozer asks, which movie is the actual remake to 1951 since both have elements from the original.  

 

Of course we talk about practical vs special effects, the unique unit of measurement the crew for 2011 used to recreate sets from 1982, theories for the 1982 ending, we rank the remakes we’ve covered so far, and more!  Thanks for listening and Keep Streaming!

We share our thoughts on this younger Bruce Wayne that doesn’t really know how to Bruce Wayne yet, Riddler’s homegrown terrorist vibes, Laura and I’s biggest Catwoman complaint, we brainstorm new design ideas for the next batsuit and bat signal for the sequel, and of course we play The Six Degrees of Nicolas Cage with this Bats, and lots of other things.
